TASTING NOTES Our Zinfandel shows off its elegant ruby color, aromas of black cherry, white spice, and kumquats. Opening on the palette are earthy notes of wet clay and forest floor. Dark, ripe bing cherry and plum expressions compliment the balanced tannic profile of this timeless wine.
PRODUCTION NOTES Our Zinfandel grapes were harvested in two picks for our three blocks. The grapes were grown on our estate Coble Ranch Vineyard, located in Winters, CA. We use the heritage Primitivo Clone in our Zinfandel block, which produces a lighter, more refined fruit profile than its counterparts. After the grapes were harvested and sorted then were fermented in small lots, then pressed in our traditional basket press. Once pressed, the wine was aged for 19 months in twice used French Oak barrels.
