Our premier Petite Sirah – unveiling a profound hue of deep purple. With a captivating bouquet, notes of dark fruit intertwine with nuances of coffee, cocoa, and delicate toasts derived from its maturation in new French oak barrels. This wine has opulent flavors, where luscious chocolate and caramel take center stage, complemented by toasted hazelnuts that gracefully enhance the essence of blackberries amidst a backdrop of velvety tannins, culminating in a lingering finish. This full-bodied masterpiece promises a graceful evolution with age. Perfectly accompanied by cassolette or hearty wild game stews, it promises an unparalleled culinary experience.
After small-lot fermentation, our Winters Highlands Petite Sirah was aged in once and twice used French oak for 16 months then barrel selected and aged in new and once used French oak for an additional 12 months. This Petite Sirah comes from a block that is planted on the steepest hillside in our Coble Ranch Vineyard, increasing the flavor concentration in the grapes. This creates a bold flavor profile due to the increased skin to juice ratio which intensifies the tannin structure and color in the finished wine.
