TASTING NOTES Our Tempranillo pours a deep garnet, hinting at the richness held within. The nose is captivating—an elegant fusion of ripe blackberries, spiced plum, and a whisper of sun-warmed earth. On the palate, it strikes a graceful balance between power and poise, with a medium to full body that reveals unfolding layers of dark fruit, cracked black pepper, and supple tannins. Hints of tobacco leaf, worn leather, and toasted oak linger thoughtfully, drawing the wine toward a long, resonant finish that speaks of both place and patience.
PRODUCTION NOTES Our Tempranillo is located at the highest elevation on the Coble Ranch Vineyard. The Tempranillo block consists of two different soil series, allowing for minerality and richness to be characterized in the finished wine. It was harvested in three lots and fermented in bins before being pressed in our traditional basket press. Once pressed, we aged the Tempranillo in twice used French oak barrels for 18 months.
